Nancy Vecchioni

Nancy Vecchioni, RN, MSN, CPHQ

Vice President, Medicare Operations

 

With more than 25 years of clinical and quality improvement experience, Ms. Vecchioni has vast knowledge in the design of quality improvement and patient safety projects. In this position, she provides leadership and oversight to all projects within MPRO's Medicare contract work. She is responsible for assessing and tracking team and contract performance. Furthermore, she fosters and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to position MPRO as a recognized authority on healthcare quality. In addition, she provides oversight for special projects including the STAAR - State Action on Avoidable Rehospitalizations Initiative an IHI collaborative in Michigan to reduce hospital readmissions.

 

Ms. Vecchioni returns to MPRO from her most recent position as Administrative Director Quality Outcomes and Patient Safety for Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to that, she worked for many years at MPRO as Director of Patient Safety overseeing quality improvement and safety initiatives in the hospital, nursing home and home health settings.

 

Ms. Vecchioni has a Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialty in epidemiology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), a designation from the National Association for Healthcare Quality. Ms. Vecchioni is a fellow in patient safety from the Williamston Institute.
