Timely, Objective, Quality: Independent IDR Services
MPRO is nationally recognized as a leading authority and independent provider of informal dispute resolution (IDR) services. As a result of our ten years of experience reviewing IDR appeals in Michigan, MPRO has been approached by a variety of state and national organizations to provide insight into our innovative and successful IDR program. Our efforts have inspired these organizations to experience the MPRO difference—as clients. Our clients include:
Michigan
MPRO has conducted IDR review for the Michigan Department of Community Health for more than ten years. In Michigan alone, MPRO has reviewed and issued determinations on more than 3,500 IDR appeals for cited nursing home deficiencies of both federal regulations and state rules. We provide timely,
objective, quality independent reviews that help our clients achieve an efficient resolution. MPRO IDR service is a fee-for-service option in Michigan.
Indiana
In 2003, the Indiana State Department of Health, Division of Long-Term Care selected MPRO to implement and provide the Indiana nursing home community an independent review option on a fee-for-service basis.
Wisconsin
In 2004, the State of Wisconsin, Bureau of Quality Assurance (BQA) contracted with MPRO to provide independent review for its IDR program, that includes reviews of federal regulations, state rules, Life Safety Codes and ICF/MR regulation. MPRO, in collaboration with BQA, developed a program derived from a combination of existing Wisconsin IDR procedures and MPRO’s unique approach. The result is a full-service IDR program including two types of review options: desk and telephonic.
Illinois
As a result of our proven record for timely, effective reviews, MPRO secured a contract with the Illinois Department of Public Health in 2005 to help meet their independent review needs for Illinois nursing facilities, and serves as an independent review option on a fee-for-service basis.
