The Doctor’s Office Quality − Information Technology (DOQ−IT) program, is a project through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for the adoption and implementation of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) in primary care physician offices. EHRs are pivotal to improvement in the areas of quality of care, patient safety, decision support, access to patient information, practice efficiency and patient-clinician communication.
