MPRO is Michigan's Quality Improvement Organization (QIO).  MPRO handles quality of care complaints and discharge notice appeals from Medicare members and their designated care givers.
Since 1984, MPRO has  been helping consumers better understand their rights and privileges under the Medicare program.  We want to help your receive quality health care.  There is no charge for our services.

As a Medicare consumer or beneficiary, you have the right to:

 

  • Be treated with dignity and respect at all times

  • Be protected from discrimination

  • Get information about Medicare that you can understand to help you make health care decisions

  • Have your questions about the Medicare Program answered

  • Receive culturally competent services

  • Learn about all of your treatment choices in clear language that you can understand

  • Request a review of a healthcare decision or report a complaint
