Linda Hamacher

Biography

Linda Dean Hamacher has over 20 years experience in managed care, indigent care, and government programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP and Children’s Special Health Services programs. She currently serves as Senior Consultant to Health Management Associates, Lansing, Michigan and Executive Director for Genesee Health Plan Corporation.

 

Ms. Hamacher has been involved in many aspects of government program compliance. She has worked with state and local governments in the planning and design of health care programs and processes. Most recently Ms. Hamacher has also worked with local communities in the planning and designing of community based options for the uninsured, including indigent health care plans and subsidized employer options (1/3 Share Plan). She has designed community-based programs for the uninsured and under insured and developed sustainable funding for these programs through local property taxes. She has designed and operated public, private and philanthropic partnerships for the purpose of addressing health care access for the uninsured. Her expertise includes working with communities to reduce disparities, uncompensated care, and the impact of chronic disease.
