Iris Taylor

Iris Taylor, RN, PhD

MPRO Board Member

 

 

Biography

Iris Taylor, RN, PhD, brings more than 30 years of experience in nursing and hospital administration to the MPRO Board. She is President of Detroit Receiving Hospital and University Health Center, Detroit Medical Center. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Wayne State University in both the School of Medicine and the College of Nursing. In addition, she is Vice Chair of the Visiting Nurse Association Board. Throughout her career, she has held various leadership positions, including President of Harper University Hospital and Hutzel Women’s Hospital and President and Chief Executive Officer of The Detroit Institute of Children. She was named one of Michigan’s Most Influential Women by Crain’s Detroit Business magazine and has received numerous other honors and awards for her leadership in the health care industry.

Dr. Taylor earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science Degree in Nursing, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology from Wayne State University.
