Biography

Beverly Allen, CPA, BBA, brings valuable health plan expertise to the MPRO Board, having worked in the managed care industry for over 13 years. Currently, she serves as the Chief Executive Officer for OmniCare Health Plan, a subsidiary of Coventry Health Care, Inc., a for-profit managed care organization providing health care benefits to 55,000 Medicaid HMO members.

Prior to this current role, Ms. Allen was appointed by the Ingham County Circuit Court to serve as Deputy Rehabilitator/ Independent Consultant for OmniCare, where she reported to the State of Michigan Office of Finance and Insurance Services. She also served as Vice President of Finance for SelectCare, Inc., CFO for Mercy Health Plan, Director of Finance & Administration for United American Healthcare Corporation-OmniCare Health Plan, Director of Finance for Children’s Hospital of Michigan, and Audit Senior Manager for Ernst & Young LLP.

Ms. Allen obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University, as well as her CPA certification and her Managed Care Executive certification.
